Another Life

私が作品を制作する動機のひとつに、「見過ごされていた儚きものを再生させる」という思いがあります。これまで、その思いのもと、シャンパンコルクや古い道具などを素材に制作してきました。

今回の展示《Another Life》では、「さんのはち」の美絵さんや私のもとにやって来た、役目を終えた古いものたちに、別の命を吹き込みたいと考えました。

One of the impulses behind my work is the desire to give new life to fragile, overlooked things. With this in mind, I have created works from materials such as champagne corks and old tools.

For Another Life, I wanted to breathe a different life into old objects that had outlived their original purpose and found their way to Mie of “San no Hachi” or to me.
